About Me
My name is Nancy Still. I stand 5'5" tall, with green eyes and brown
hair.My birthday is June 15, 1952 and I am screeching to the age
of 47 years old..I am a Georgia Peach, living in Georgia my entire
life, except for a four year period of which I was the wife of a
Navy veteran. I traveled with him to every place that I could go,
staying mostly in the Southeast and he stayed at sea. I do have
a southern accent,yes VERY SOUTHERN.
My husband, Rodney and I are working on our 28 year of marriage.
We have two children, ages 13 and 10, or will be this year. I am
a stay at home mother who hometeaches and goes crazy everyday of
my life with my children. This is my first and probably my last
year of homeschool.. just do not have any time for myself, but
some days are diamonds...some days are stones.
I have two siblings, who are OLDER than me.. Yes, I was the baby
of the family. Both my parents are deceased, having lost my Mom
just two years ago. She was my Queen of Hearts.
My favorite color is blue.. which may say something for my casual
dress in the picture of me. I am forever in denim, usually in the
summer and sweats and other casual clothes in the winter. I fairly
rarely dress up for anything. I am just a layed back Southern lady
and feel my most comfortable in clothes that move with me..
I "fell in love" with George Strait in my first pregnancy with my
daughter. When I first heard "Amarillo By Morning", I knew that
it would always be a song that would be around for a long time. Like
riding down the road, listening to the radio, and suddenly a song
comes on that you have not heard in a long time, that is the way
his "Amarillo by Morning" hits me. Sometimes, it sounds silly, but
I can almost predict when "DJ" are going to play one of his songs.
I also like Sammy Kershaw, Garth Brooks, Aaron Tippin, Mark Wills,
Vince Gill,Randy Travis, Martina McBride, Jo Dee Messina, just to categorize
it all, let me just say that the TV is always on Country Music Television.
I would also like to say here that I am also a "SURVIVOR" of a muscular
disease that is very painful and creates havoc in my life EVERY day
and that the disease is not curable, but treatable. I have many
days of pain and many days that I just don't know which way is UP
or DOWN, but I manage to survive. I have to do things as I can and
I do this with the help of listening to Country music and most of
all THE MR.GEORGE STRAIT. My biggest wish in life would be, other than to get well, with the
help of GOD that I could meet George and dance with him with his song of "I JUST WANT
TO DANCE WItH YOU"... wouldn't we all though??
